Learning outcomes
LO04. Use information technologies, cartographic and geo-informational models in the field of Earth sciences, in particular in soil science.
LO07. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies
LO09. To carry out studies of the Earth's geospheres using quantitative methods of analysis.
LO14. To participate in the development of projects and practical recommendations in the field of Earth sciences, in particular in matters of soil science, land management and territorial planning.
LO15. Be able to choose optimal methods and tools for research, data collection and processing.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Mastering the disciplines "Landscape studies", "Spatial and landscape planning", "Methodology of spatial planning", "Fundamentals of geoecology".
2) The ability to analyze the living space on different information slices, to evaluate natural conditions and resources, to compare different options for the geospatial development of communities.
3) Fluency in GIS knowledge, skills in the analysis of cartographic materials, Earth remote sensing materials, and construction of thematic maps.
Course content
The content of the discipline reveals the theoretical and methodological and applied issues of geospatial modeling, in particular it considers the types and classifications of models, modeling methods, the practice of using models to analyze the natural potential of the territory and identify the most effective ways of geospatial development.

Assessment methods and criteria
Examination in test, oral and written form. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam.
The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24 (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam).
