Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Educational practice on methods of acquiring Geographic Information Acquisition Methods", "Fundamentals of GIS", "GIS in Natural Geography", "Structure and management of geodata blocks". 2. Know the basic properties of raster geodata, geophysical and optical properties of landscape components properties of landscape components. 3. Be able to give a comprehensive physical and geographical characterization of the territory, to carry out the selection and critical analysis of information and cartographic data sources; 4. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to apply them apply them in production and research activities; be able to model objects and processes using modern quantitative and qualitative methods and geographic information technologies.
Course content
This discipline is devoted to study of the basic theoretical and methodological principles of remote sensing and applied aspects of the application of remote methods to the study of of landscapes, their components, assessment of environmental conditions and expert and expert forecasting of their changes. The course is aimed at developing students' skills of searching, critical evaluation, preparation, organization and analysis of remote sensing data with in order to solve theoretical, methodological and applied problems in the field of of natural geography.

Assessment methods and criteria
Test, performance of creative analytical and calculation works, discourse, залік. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the credit. The final evaluation in the form of credit is conducted in written format. The maximum number of points on the test is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24.
