Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Landscape Science", "Geomorphology", "Soil science", "Biogeography", "Topography", "Cartography", "Fundamentals geoecology", "Anthropogenic paleogeography and the foundations of geoarchaeology", "Ukrainian and foreign culture" and others. 2. To know the starting points of the sciences of natural and social geography direction, in particular the properties and regularities of the development of the geographical envelope and its structural units (landscape complexes), the flow of exogenous and endogenous processesю. 3. To be able to apply the methods of scientific research (cartographic, observation, analysis, synthesis, comparison, comparison, typification, generalization and systematization, etc.) when studying geographical space, establish the uniqueness of its natural conditions, to determine the degree of anthropogenic modification and predict the consequences for the environment and the population.
Course content
In the academic discipline are highlighted modern ideas about the task and place of historical landscape science in the system geographical sciences, its development (on the example of Ukraine), theoretical provisions and methodological principles. Different features of nature management are considered periods of the development of society: during the Stone Age, Eneolithic and Bronze Age, Kyiv Russia, the era of Lithuanian-Polish and Hetmanship, the imperial era and the Soviet era of the Union It consists of two content parts (modules) and is aimed at formation students have special geographical competences, in particular content (empirical and theoretical knowledge), operational (ability, skills, techniques4 educational and cognitive activities and the experience of their application for solving tasks of a theoretical and practical nature) and outlook (geographic picture of the world, emotional and value attitude to the environment and human activity in it, acquired creative activity) components.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral survey, blitz survey, tests, presentations, discourse. The maximum number of points for credit is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to semester credits is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for credit). Students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to pass the test. The recommended minimum for admission to the test is 35 points.
