            LO02. Know and understand the main types of geographic activity, their division in general and in particular in the field of geomorphology and nature tourism.
LO03. Explain the peculiarities of the organization of geographical space.
LO07. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the landscape envelope and its components.
LO09. To analyze the composition and structure of natural and sociospheres included in the subject area of geomorphology and nature tourism at different spatio-temporal levels.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1) successful mastery of such compulsory disciplines as "Geology", "Geomorphology" and "Soil science";
2) possession of basic skills of field geological, paleontological and soil science research;
3) knowledge of the modern periodization scheme of the Earth's geological history.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The discipline consists of two content modules. The first considers paleoecology as a science, the basics of paleoecology methodology, paleoecological conditions of the Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic (Paleogene and Neogene).
In the second content module, a complex of methods of paleogeological, paleogeomorphological, and paleolandscape reconstructions, as well as methods of absolute geochronology, are considered.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Assessment of performance of tasks of practical work, modular control work, credit. The maximum number of points on the assessment is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to semester marks is 30 points. Completion of all practical work provided by the work program and writing of modular test papers is mandatory for credit. The recommended minimum for admission to the test is 30 points. Students who scored a total of fewer points than the critical minimum are not allowed to take the test.
