Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "General hydrology", "Fundamentals of scientific research", "Fundamentals of meteorology", "Application of GIS in hydrological research", "General and historical geology"; 2. Knowledge of the basics of jurisprudence, geography of continents and oceans, general hydrology, meteorology and climatology, ecology and world economy; 3. Have elementary knowledge of the English language.
Course content
this educational discipline is dedicated to the formation of a comprehensive system of knowledge among students about the main legislative acts of Ukraine, which are related to water policy, namely the Water Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Hydrometeorological Activity", State programs for the development of water management, international hydro-ecological cooperation in the context of such main issues: the work of international organizations in solving problems related to the preservation of water for humanity, the rational use of water resources and the protection of property and people's lives from the water element; systematization of universal (global), regional and bilateral international legal acts ratified by Ukraine in the field of hydroecology and the use of water resources. The educational discipline "Fundamentals of Water Legislation" is a component of the comprehensive training of specialists of the educational and qualification level "Bachelor" specialization "Hydrology" specialty 103 "Earth Sciences".

Completing the assigned tasks will allow the graduate to achieve the following competencies: - K01.
