Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of earth sciences. PLO 7. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of the courses «Chemistry with the basics of geochemistry», «Hydrology», «Fundamentals of hydrochemistry».
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general hydrology, hydrochemistry, assessment of the quality of the ecological state of water bodies.
Possession of elementary skills in hydrological calculations, statistical processing of hydrochemical series.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with knowledge about the environmental problems of water supply and wastewater disposal, ideas about the organization of technological processes of water supply and sanitation, hydroecological aspects of water treatment, progressive methods of preparing drinking water, wastewater treatment and their impact on water quality in water bodies

Assessment methods and criteria
Conditions for admission to the exam: the recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. - The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24 (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). The final grade in the discipline consists of the points scored by the student based on the results of the semester control of the first and second parts and the points obtained in the exam.
