Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: theoretical foundations of hydrology; meteorology, geology, earth sciences, topography, cartography, mathematics, physics, methods of processing and analysis of hydrological information. Be able: collect raw data for research, select and analyze information and cartographic sources, possess elementary practical skills of collection, analysis of hydrometeorological observation materials, information processing methods, give physical and geographical characteristics of the river basin or the studied territory regarding the formation of water flow, calculate morphometric and hydrographic characteristics of water bodies and their basins, etc..
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to develop the skills of independent accumulation and deepening of knowledge from educational disciplines, from current problems of hydrology and hydroecology, mastering the elements of organization and methods of independent hydrological research, consistent presentation of material from the researched topic, development of search skills, analysis of information sources, generalization of own observations, formulation conclusions based on conducted research.
