Course content
this educational discipline is devoted to the study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of oceanology, in particular in terms of the following basic issues: physical properties of seawater, hydrodynamic processes (tides, currents, waves, level fluctuations, etc.), thermal and ice regimes; chemical composition of sea waters, processes of their pollution and self-cleaning; geological structure of the bottom and shores of the World Ocean; flora and fauna of the ocean; patterns of atmospheric processes over the ocean.
