PR01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of earth sciences. PR09. To be able to carry out studies of geospheres using quantitative methods of analysis. PR10. Analyze the composition and structure of geospheres (in accordance with specialization) on different spatial and temporal scales.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "General and historical geology", "Basics of meteorology", "Soil science with the basics of soil geography", "Biogeography", "Geomorphology and paleogeography", "Hydrology of rivers", "Hydrology of lakes", "Hydrology of swamps, glaciers and underground waters". 2. Know the patterns of territorial differentiation of the natural conditions of the globe, the peculiarities of the functioning of the geographical envelope, in particular the interaction and mutual influence of its natural components (geospheres). 3. To be able to assess the anthropogenic impact on the natural environment and predict the consequences of human activity in it. 4. Have the skills of observation, analysis, including generalize the obtained results.
Course content
studying the discipline consists in acquiring the following competencies: - Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations (K03); - Skills of using information and communication technologies (K07); - Efforts to preserve the natural environment (K11); - Ability to apply basic knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying the Earth and its geospheres (K14); - Ability to plan, organize and conduct research and report preparation (K21).
