Learning outcomes
_the conceptual and categorical apparatus, methods, techniques and methodology of science in the system of research activities organization in the system of public administration. Basic principles, foundations and stages of writing a qualifying research paper Be able to_ select, systematize and analyze information related to the methodology and organization of research with the basics of intellectual property in the system of public administration. Apply general scientific and special methods of scientific research in the process of writing a qualifying scientific work. Form the structure of scientific work and formulate the analytical component in the introduction, conclusions to the sections and in the general conclusions. Issue a qualifying research paper in accordance with the existing requirements for it as a result of scientific research and intellectual property_

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the academic subject «Fundamentals of Scientific Research». 2. Be able to work with sources that set out the basic principles of the academic subject «Fundamentals of Scientific Research», and key domestic and international regulations. 3. Possess the skills to conduct effective research presented in the process of writing term papers.
Course content
1. Methodology, techniques and methods of scientific research. Leading methodological concepts. 2. The place and role of research in analytical and expert activities. Search and processing of scientific information 3. Qualification works: preparation, structure formation and defense. Academic integrity. Protection of intellectual property rights in the process of scientific activity. 4. Methodology of scientific research in social and political sciences and public administration system 5. Quantitative methods of research in the system of public administration 6. Qualitative methods of scientific research in the system of public administration

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, including theoretical training assessment – which is 25% of the total assessment for the semester and practical training assessment – which is 75% of the overall assessment for the semester. – semester assessment (МАХ – 60 points / MIN – 36 points) Rewriting the semester control in order to improve a grade is not allowed. – final assessment (МАХ – 40 points / MIN – 24 points): the form of final assessment is an exam. The form of the exam is a written work with tasks of different levels of complexity. -graduation evaluation: the final grade is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully assessed learning outcomes during the semester (grades below the minimum threshold are not added to the final grade) and the grade obtained during the exam. The maximum number of points a student can receive is 100 points.
