Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The defense of the qualification work takes place in public at a meeting of the examination committee. A prerequisite for admission to the defense of a master's thesis is the testing of research results and main conclusions at scientific conferences or their publication in scientific journals. The master's thesis is based on the study of regulatory, methodological, special scientific literature of domestic and foreign publications on the topic of research, as well as reporting materials of enterprises, necessary statistical data, etc.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of the student's master's thesis is carried out by the Examination Committee and is a differentiated indicator based on the results of consideration of - the master's thesis itself as a completed and properly formalized student research work; - the student's personal abilities revealed during the defense of his or her work. The master's thesis is evaluated in points. The total grade is calculated as the sum of the points received by the student during the defense of the work, taking into account the coefficients and the national scale. When assessing the master's thesis, the Examination Committee cannot take into account the student's overall current academic performance. The final grade is given as an arithmetic mean of the grades given by the Chairman and members of the EC.
