            The defense of the Term Paper confirms the student's mastery of the following learning outcomes: 
To have a basic conceptual apparatus of classical and modern sociological theory. 
To review scientific sources (in state and foreign languages), to substantiate one's own position, to draw independent conclusions. 
Demonstrate knowledge of the evolution and current state of sociological theorizing. 
Search, process and present social information. 
Plan and use time effectively, work independently, systematically improve your professional level through self-education. 
Compare and summarize the results of various sociological studies.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            The required amount of Term Paper is 30-40 thousand characters, including spaces (15-20 pages of text), excluding the title page, content, list of sources and applications used.
The list of used sources should contain at least 15 references to special literature on sociology (scientific books, chapters of monographs, articles, analytical and statistical collections and reports).
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The work must contain:
title page;
table of contents - with reference to the page numbers where the relevant sections begin;
introduction - where the object, subject, purpose and objectives of the research should be clearly defined;
two or more sections of the main part, in which the main content of the work should be stated, each section should end with conclusions on the section;
conclusions in which the results of the work should be formulated and the correspondence of the obtained results to the set tasks of the research;
list of used sources - designed in accordance with the requirements;
annexes - if necessary.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            The work must be performed in the state language. Literacy and correct use of special terminology are taken into account when evaluating the work. The defense of the term paper is carried out in the terms determined by the order of the dean. The department independently determines the form of defense and the rules of evaluation of course work performed at the department, about which students must be informed before approving the topic of work. Assessment of completed course work is determined by the results of the defense, taking into account the proposal of the supervisor, who assesses the independence of the work (absence of plagiarism), and approved by the decision of the department. The department submits to the dean's office electronic texts of course work, protected at the department, in the terms and in the format determined by the order of the dean.
