Learning outcomes
PR02. Understand the basic environmental laws, rules and principles of environmental protection and nature management. PR03. Understand the basic concepts, theoretical and practical problems in the field of natural sciences, necessary for analysis and decision-making in the field of ecology, environmental protection and optimal use of nature. PR05. Know the conceptual basis of monitoring and regulation of anthropogenic pressure on the environment. PR11. Be able to predict the impact of technological processes and industries on the environment. PR21. Be able to choose the best methods and tools for research, data collection and processing.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of a school course in physics and physical geography.
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of physics, physical geography, the ability to establish cause-and-effect relationships between phenomena and processes occurring in the natural environment.
Possession of methods of synthesis and analysis of information.
Course content
The course is devoted to the study of the Earth's atmosphere. The course consists of two content modules. The first module is devoted to the study of the composition and structure of the atmosphere, solar, terrestrial and atmospheric radiation, thermal regime of the atmosphere, soil and water surfaces, as well as water regime of the atmosphere. The second module deals with the formation and distribution of precipitation, atmospheric pressure field, wind regime, air masses and atmospheric fronts, atmospheric circulation over different latitudes, climatic factors.

3. Registration of results of the analysis of methods of carrying out meteorological supervision and measurements: РН 1.2 - 3.2 - 10 points / 5 points.
4. Knowledge of methods of meteorological observations and measurements: PH 1.2 - 3.2 - 10 points / 5 points.
5. Oral answers: PH 1.1 –3.2 - 5 points / 2.5 points.
6. Additions: RN 1.1–3.2. - 5 points / 2.5 points.
