Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the courses "Physics", "Chemistry", "Geology", "Meteorology and Climatology". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of physics, chemistry, water balance, geology, geology, climatology, meteorology. To have basic practical skills of generalization of materials of observations on elements of meteorological conditions and a mode of water objects, processing of the cartographic information, calculations of morphometric and hydrographic characteristics of watersheds of water objects, water balance.
Course content
The discipline "Hydrology" is devoted to the study of general patterns of processes in the hydrosphere; interconnectedness and interdependence of the hydrosphere with the atmosphere, lithosphere, biosphere; water cycle on Earth; basic laws of geographical distribution of water bodies of different types and their reserves: rivers, lakes, glaciers, groundwater, swamps, oceans and seas. Information on water sources of water bodies, their water, thermal, ice regime, formation of chemical composition, their importance and use, as well as attention to the role of water in ecosystems, the impact of anthropogenic factors on environmental components, water runoff; shows the practical importance of the study of water bodies and research of hydrological processes to solve problems of nature protection.
