Learning outcomes
PR02. Understand the basic environmental laws, rules and principles of environmental protection and nature management. PR03. Understand the basic concepts, theoretical and practical problems in the field of natural sciences, necessary for analysis and decision-making in the field of ecology, environmental protection and optimal use of nature. PR06. Identify the factors that determine the formation of landscape and biological diversity. PR29. Calculate static and dynamic parameters of populations. PR30. Identify the principles and types of interaction of living organisms with the environment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know - the general laws of the structure of chordates.
Be able to - classify species of plant animals, in accordance with the principles of modern phylogenetic classification and zoological nomenclature.
Have basic skills - working with simple optical instruments, compliance with safety in the laboratory.
Course content
The discipline "Animal Ecology" deals with the study of the population-species level of the organization of the animal world as an object of study of a wide range of biologists and ecologists. The discipline is designed to form an idea of the place of vertebrates in the organic world, their ecological role and significance for the biosphere and sustainable development of society, the origin and general patterns of evolutionary development of chordates and their individual development.
