Learning outcomes
PLO 01. Have thorough knowledge of the structure of professional activity. To be able to carry out professional activities that require updating and integration of knowledge. To be responsible for professional development, the ability for further professional training with a high level of autonomy. PLO 02. Understanding and knowledge of fundamental and clinical biomedical sciences, at a level sufficient for solving professional tasks in the field of health care. PLO 21. Search for the necessary information in the professional literature and databases of other sources, analyze, evaluate and apply this information. PLO 22. Apply modern digital technologies, specialized software provision, statistical methods of data analysis to solve complex security problems health.

1. knowledge based on the study of mathematics, medical physics, medical biology and integrated with these disciplines; 2. study of disciplines related to the organization of the health care system; 3. ability to apply knowledge in the process of further study and professional activity.
Course content
"Medical Informatics and Fundamentals of Statistics" refers to the resources, databases, algorithms and methods needed to optimize the receipt, storage, transmission and use of information in the field of health and biomedicine. The field of application of medical informatics is multidisciplinary and covers such areas as electronic medical records of patients, decision support systems, eHealth, telemedicine, medical ethics, the use of computer technology in public health. In the course of studying the discipline the value and practical application of information support of activity in the health care system is given or demonstrated, the bases of statistical analysis of biomedical data are given.
