Learning outcomes
PRN1. Carry out personal training and equipment of the workplace for laboratory tests, in compliance with safety and personal protection, ensure the preparation of samples of different origins and their storage. PRN2. Determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of substances and their mixtures. Demonstrate the use of knowledge about morphological changes of tissues and organs for the diagnosis of pathological conditions, identify erroneous results, take measures to correct them. PRN4. Understand the physical and chemical principles of staining, apply appropriate methods in laboratory research. PRN5. Verify the results of laboratory tests for the diagnosis of oncopathology. PRN6. Verify the results of laboratory tests in the clinic of internal medicine. PRN11. Perform histological and cytological examinations, verify their results. PRN21. Argue and promote the need to lead a healthy lifestyle.

1. Mastering the full course of secondary education, especially natural sciences. 2. Knowledge of the structure and functions of cells, tissues and organs within the school curriculum. 3. Basic skills of working with a light microscope.
Course content
The course "Cytology, Histology and Human Embryology" gives students an idea of ​​the main stages of historical development of cytology, histology and embryology, modern methods of research of cells, tissues and embryos. The course highlights the principles of structural and functional organization of the cytosol, cytoskeleton, cell nucleus, cell organelle, cell surface apparatus and its participation in intercellular signaling and adhesion. The cell cycle and types of cell division, mechanisms of cell differentiation are considered. Students are also acquainted with the laws of structure, development, metabolism of human tissues.
