PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PR05. Use knowledge and demonstrate compliance with the provisions of biological ethics, biological safety and biological protection. PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms. PR12. Demonstrate knowledge of the structure and functions of the immune system, cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune responses, their regulation, genetic control; types of immunity and methods of assessing the immune status of the organism. PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of disciplines "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Immunology". Ability to independently apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the mastering of biochemistry, immunology and molecular biology, to search and analyze the scientific literature on immunodeficiencies of various etiologies. To create a scientific and theoretical basis for elucidating the molecular and biochemical aspects of the development of the cell response to HIV infection.
Course content
The course "Molecular mechanisms of immunodeficiency" is part of the cycle of training specialists at the educational level "Bachelor" in the educational program "Biology". is designed to form students' ideas about the specifics of the process of infection with human immunodeficiency virus and molecular biochemical principles for the diagnosis of HIV infection.
