PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the borders of subject areas PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms PR10. Establish regularities of interaction of living organisms of different forms of structural organization among themselves, features of influence of various factors on living organisms and to estimate their role in biosphere processes of biotic transformation of substances and energy PR12. Demonstrate knowledge of the structure and functions of the immune system, cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune responses, their regulation, genetic control; types of immunity and methods of assessing the immune status of the organism

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of educational level "Bachelor". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of virology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, cytology and histology, physiology, zoology, biophysics, etc. 3. To have basic skills of analytical evaluation of research results conducted in the fields of biology and virology to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.
Course content
The course is designed to summarize the student's understanding of the main prospects for the development and creation of active components of antiviral drugs, targets in the process of virus replication in the body, and provide insights into current trends and directions of basic research and applied research in chemotherapy for future infections.
