Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Molecular Biology", "Zoology", "Biochemistry", "Microbiology", "General Genetics". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and molecular biological laboratories.
Course content
The special course covers the study of biology, morphology and anatomy of the fruit fly, development cycle, gametogenesis, molecular mechanisms of sex formation, etc. In the course of studying the discipline, the practical application and importance of Drosophila in molecular biology and genetics are presented or demonstrated.
