The result of the training is the acquisition of knowledge about the activities of prominent intellectuals of the world who have worked in the field of biology and medicine from ancient times to the present, through the prism of their intellectual achievements to highlight the development of world biological science and medicine.

External form

Know: 1. main periods of development, defining events and phenomena of the world historical process; 2. the main directions of development of biological and medical titles in the context of civilizational development of mankind; 3. the most commonly used concepts and terms in the field of historical science, biology and medicine; 4. main achievements of modern biology and medicine, Be able: 1. work with educational literature and scientific sources; 2. to formulate one's own view on the development of scientific knowledge in the world in the historical context; 3. identify and analyze the stages of development of biological and medical knowledge; 4. characterize the peculiarities of the development of certain branches of biology and medicine.

Coverage of the activities of prominent intellectuals of the world in the field of biology and medicine from ancient times to the present day. Consideration of the main stages of development of biological and medical knowledge and determination of personal contribution of leading scientists of different times in the process of scientific progress at each stage. Analysis of the peculiarities of the development of certain branches of biology and medicine through the prism of the achievements of outstanding scientists in relevant fields. Coverage of the activities of Ukrainian biologists and physicians who have achieved significant results in science, the importance of their scientific discoveries and achievements for domestic and world science.
