PR03. Plan, execute, analyze data and present the results of experimental research in the field of biology. PR05. Demonstrate skills in assessing unforeseen biological problems and making informed choices PR09. Adhere to the provisions of biological ethics, rules of biological safety and biological protection in the process of learning and professional activities. PR10. Know the basics of taxonomy, methods of detection and identification of non-cellular life forms, prokaryotes and eukaryotes and use them to solve specific biological problems. PR19. Apply in practice methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the material of lectures and practical / seminar / laboratory classes in the compulsory disciplines "Botany", "Fundamentals of Ecology and Nature Protection", "Zoology"; 2. Knowledge of basic methods of field research and methods of light microscopy; 3. Knowledge of the taxonomy of algae, higher plants, animals and fungi; 4. Representation of the structure of algae, higher plants, animals and fungi.
Course content
Educational practice in botany and zoology is an important stage in the preparation of bachelors in the specialty 091 - "Biology". Its task is to consolidate the theoretical and scientific-methodological knowledge acquired during the mastering of the theoretical disciplines "Botany" and "Zoology" of the block of compulsory disciplines and direct practical preparation for work in the field. Historically, educational practice in botany and zoology is conducted on the basis of the Kaniv Nature Reserve. During the internship students get acquainted with the biological diversity of flora and fauna of Ukraine, methods of collecting and preserving herbarium and collection materials, algorithms for determining algae and fungi, higher plants and animals, as well as the principles of conservation.

Semester assessment 1. Assessment of the student's work by the teacher and the head of the practice (including the success of determining the species of plants, animals, fungi and algae, activity in the field) RN 1.1-3.1 -60 points / 25 points; 2. Tests RN 1.1-3.1 - 20 points / 10 points 2. Diary and report on the practice of RN 1.1-3.2 –20 / 10 points. Semester control: differentiated test
