Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Ecology and Nature Protection", "General Cytology". 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of ecology and taxonomic diversity of animals to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
The compulsory discipline "Zoology" is a component of the cycle of training specialists of the educational level "Bachelor" in the educational program "Biology". The program covers the formation of modern animal diversity during evolution, the main patterns of morpho-biological adaptations of animals to various living conditions, modern methods of zoological research and the role of animals in human life. In addition, the discipline outlines the range of research methods and techniques that can be used in the formulation of experiments within related sciences. The discipline is designed to summarize modern ideas about the diversity, evolution, system and practical significance of the main groups of animals.
