To know: concepts of cultural policy and
the essence of the activity of cultural institutes; the role and significance of cultural policy in public administration
Be able to: use knowledge of legislation to understand the essence of modern management in culture and creative industries; use knowledge about
activities of modern cultural institutions to explain the importance of these institutions for social development
autonomy and responsibility: demonstrate an understanding of personal
responsibility for the organization of democratic management and governance processes, including responsibility for effective interaction with civil society in these processes, in particular by analyzing and evaluating ideological influences; To be able to introduce legislative norms regarding the activities of modern cultural institutes into the practice of state administration

Prerequisites and additional requirements
1. Know: the basic principles of cultural policy, the foundations of normative and legal
ensuring the activities of cultural institutions;
2. To be able to use knowledge about cultural institutions and cultural policy in the processes of exercising state power and local self-government; apply practical skills based on acquired knowledge to solve specific problems in public management and administration; analyze scientific literature, evaluate the realities of social and political life;
3. Possess the skills of analysis and synthesis of empirical and theoretical data obtained from various sources, work with the legal framework, Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).

Methods and criteria of assessment
Semester assessment (MAX – 60 points / MIN – 36 points):
1. Oral survey, discussion (RN1; 2.1; 3) – 6 points / 4 points;
2. Modular control work (2 MKR, 5 points max. each) (RN 1; 2; 4) – 10 points / 6 points;
3. Individual analytical task (RN 3; 4) – 20 points / 12 points
4. Independent work (RN 1; 2; 3; 4) – 24 points / 14 points;
– final assessment (MAX – 40 points / MIN – 24 points): the form of final assessment is an exam. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the exam is 40 points.

The maximum number of points that can be received by a student is 100 points.
