Learning outcomes Know: the uniqueness of rhetoric as an independent theoretical and applied science, the stages of rhetoric development as the main recommendations regarding the analysis and selection of material for a speech Be able to: extrapolate the main principles of rhetoric to communicative activity in the field of professional activity; take into account and use to one's advantage the peculiarities of the communicative culture of the interlocutors (audience) Communication: present the results of conducted rhetorical research and independent work in the form of reports, speeches, essays, presentations, summaries; participate in professional discussions Autonomy and responsibility to independently search and critically process literature in the field of research on rhetorical issues, to be fluent in the methods of processing, analysis and synthesis of scientific information

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites and additional requirements 1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical process; basic general scientific theories and research methods; laws of logic and basic requirements for correct thinking; the main works of classical Ukrainian and foreign literature. 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about certain phenomena, events or processes; determine patterns and features of research subjects. 3.Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical thinking and forecasting regarding historical, socio-political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources.

"Rhetorical culture" and its significance for society. 4 Forms (formats) of speech communication. The main genres of oratorical speeches. Part 2. The main sections of rhetoric 5 Sections of classical rhetoric. Basic principles of invention as a section of rhetoric. 6 Basic principles of disposition as a section of rhetoric. 7 Basic principles of elocution as a section of rhetoric. 8 Basic principles of memory as sections of rhetoric. 9 Basic principles of action as sections of rhetoric. Assessment methods and criteria
Methods and criteria of assessment Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.8), which makes up 40% of the total assessment and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.7); (communication 3.1-3.4); which is 60% of the total grade.
