Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the legal nature of obligations, the basic concepts of the law of obligations, to be familiar with the legislation defining the general principles of legal regulation of security methods, primarily the Civil and Commercial Codes, the Law of Ukraine "On Consumer Protection", to know the content of the main explanations of judicial and notary authorities on their application.
To be able to correctly interpret the provisions of Ukrainian legislation relating to obligations and security rights, to provide legal advice on the essence of a particular security method.
Possess the skills to analyze the circumstances of the proposed incidents, determine the legal relations that have developed, the sources of their regulation and the general ways to resolve disputes.
Course content
The forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at studying the peculiarities of the application of legislation governing security obligations in Ukraine and the development of skills related to the use of sources and mechanisms of security obligations, identifying their essence and choosing the most optimal method in a particular legal situation, taking into account the property interests of the parties concerned and professional ethical principles. The course of the discipline involves intensive study of the theory and practice of application of security obligations, development of skills in conducting research in this area.

Lectures, seminars, independent work of the student on the basis of textbooks, abstracts, methodical recommendations, consultations with the teacher
Assessment methods and criteria
In seminar classes, the current control of the student's knowledge of the discipline includes:. a presentation in class - from 10 to 12 points; supplementing the presentation - from 4 to 8 points; essential questions to the speakers (discourse) - from 2 to 7 points; solving a case - from 8 to 13 points.
The following are subject to evaluation: the level of knowledge demonstrated in the answer; activity in discussing issues; systematic work in class; and the results of homework.
Students may make up seminars missed for valid reasons.
A student who has not reached the minimum threshold level of assessment (24 points) of those learning outcomes that cannot be assessed during the final control may not be admitted to the final assessment.
The final assessment is a test (with the possible use of information and communication technologies) (maximum score - 60).
