Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses "Hydrology of rivers" and "Hydrology of lakes".
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general hydrology.
Possession of elementary hydrological concepts about water bodies, their hydrological regime, having the skills to perform practical works in hydrology and cartography.
Course content
The goal of educational practice 3. Survey hydrographic - familiarizing students with various water bodies in practice (watercourses and reservoirs), the structure of the hydrographic network, mastering the elementary methods of conducting field research on water bodies (reconnaissance work, creating field maps), which are supplemented chamber works, processing of observation results, their summarization and preparation of the report. In the process of educational practice, a hydrographic survey can be carried out on water bodies of the city of Kyiv - in the National Nature Park "Holosiivskyi" (the small river Horihuvatka - a tributary of Lybid and Horihuvatskii ponds, the Holosiiivskyi stream with Didorivskii ponds), on the Lybid river (the right tributary of the Dnipro ), on the Nyvka River (in the upper reaches in the Teremka 2 residential area).
