Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering or choosing an academic discipline:
1. Successful completion of Mathematics courses"; "Physics", "Hydrology of rivers", "Hydrology of lakes", "Hydrology of swamps, glaciers and groundwater", "Basics of meteorology", "General and historical geology", "Soil science with the basics of soil geography", "Topography with the basics of geodesy" , "Cartography" "Hydrographic characteristics of river basin regions of Ukraine".
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of hydrology; meteorology, geology, earth sciences, topography, cartography, mathematics, methods of processing and analysis of hydrological information.
3. To have elementary skills of collection, processing of observation data, statistical analysis of hydrological series and hydrological calculations. processing and analysis of cartographic information.
Course content
The task of studying the discipline. The task of "Hydrometry" is to create an information base for conducting scientific generalizations, hydrological substantiation of water management and hydrotechnical projects.
As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student should
know:
basic principles of organization and optimization of the network of hydrometric observation points, their program and procedure for processing observation results;
be able:
to use in practice devices for quantitative determination and accounting of elements of the hydrological regime of water bodies, to know the basic methods of processing the results of field hydrometric works, and the methodology of maintaining the State Water Cadastre.
