Learning outcomes
Analyze the features of natural and anthropogenic systems and objects of the upper crust and its sedimentary layer in particular.
Apply their knowledge to identify and solve problems and make informed decisions in the thematic processing of geological and other geospatial data.
To know modern methods of research of the upper Earth and its geospheres and to be able to apply them in production and research activities.
Demonstrate the ability to adapt and act in a new situation related to work in the profession, the ability to generate new ideas in the field of geoinformatics.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the structure of the geological environment (including geochemical and geophysical fields), hazardous geological processes and methods of subsoil use.
Course content
A brief description of the main factors determining the ecological state of natural-industrial complexes is given. The following main topics are considered: 1) the place and role of environmental assessments in environmental policy, the basic principles of environmental policy; 2) mechanisms of state regulation and control in the field of environmental safety in Ukraine; 3) regulatory framework for environmental assessments and environmental assessment procedures in Ukraine (screening, EIA, environmental expertise, environmental audit, environmental impact assessment report, conclusion on environmental impact assessment): analyzes the completeness of internationally recognized principles of environmental assessment in environmental assessment procedures in Ukraine from 1995 to the present on the example of subsoil use projects; 4) factors of environmental impact in the implementation of subsoil use projects and assessment of their impact on individual components of the environment.

Assessment methods and criteria
Test. Exhibited based on the results of three tests and writing
abstract. A necessary condition for obtaining a positive assessment is not only recruiting
semester 60 points, but also the final test (writing a partial
conclusion on environmental impact on the provided case) with a score of at least 24 points.
The student is not allowed to write the final test if for writing
abstract and the first two tests, he scored less than 30 points, or did not complete one
from control works.
