Prerequisites and co-requisites
The discipline is based on a cycle of disciplines, in particular: students must have knowledge of professional training in topography, geodesy, photogrammetry; have knowledge of basic training in mathematics, physics, engineering and computer graphics.
Course content
The discipline is the basis for obtaining a bachelor's degree in "193 Geodesy and Land Management". The course studies the theoretical foundations of digital photogrammetry, the mathematical apparatus of which is analytical photogrammetry. Particular attention is paid to digital image processing, including geometry and methods of obtaining digital images, improving their quality, speed of working with large data sets, methods of compression and conversion, methods of image orientation and more. The practical component of the course provides a detailed study of image processing technology at modern digital photogrammetric stations, in particular with the implementation of block phototriangulation, construction of digital terrain and terrain models. The theory and practice of automated solution of basic photogrammetric problems are also studied and modern approaches in the technology of aerospace mapping of the Earth's surface and planets are considered.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical work, consultations, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The course provides 2 substantive parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures, practical classes, training - testing of PBL-method (problem-oriented learning) in the study of modern methods of photogrammetric work (at the student's choice). The discipline ends with an exam. Assessment of all types of work is carried out during the semester, including independent work and individual tasks. Protection of the results of independent research is carried out in the penultimate week of study.
During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written tests with open questions are conducted. To determine the level of achievement of results during PBL training, students present the results of their research and demonstrate the acquired skills.
