1. Successful completion of the educational program of full secondary education in the subjects "Biology", "Geography", "Chemistry", "Physics"
2. Know the main life forms of organisms and examples of their adaptation to the environment;
3. Understand the hierarchical principle of biosphere organization.
4. To be able to interpret the basic laws of natural sciences.
5. Possess the skills of independent search for information and its generalization.
Course content
The discipline "Ecology" is a component of the cycle of mandatory disciplines of the educational program "Management and ecology of water resources" of the first level of higher education for the preparation of bachelor's degree holders in the specialty 103-Earth Sciences. The teaching of this discipline is aimed at students' theoretical and practical mastery of the basics of ecology, environmental protection and balanced nature management and the ability to use the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities for ecological management of all the diversity of technological systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written control papers with open questions are conducted. It is mandatory for the exam to write test papers according to content modules, to complete all practical works. For students who scored a total of less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points, writing essays on insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. Final evaluation in the form of an exam: the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam).
Students who, during the semester, scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points. Evaluation is carried out throughout the semester for all types of work, including independent work.
