Learning outcomes
Know and apply in professional activities legal acts, normative and technical documents, reference materials in the field of geodesy and land management and related industries. Know the history and features of the development of geodesy and land management, their place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society. Perform surveys and topographic and geodetic, cartographic, design and design and survey work in the performance of professional tasks in geodesy and land management. Select and apply tools, equipment and software necessary for remote, ground, field and office research in the field of geodesy and land management.

Course content
The academic discipline considers the theoretical foundations and practical methods for conducting topographic surveys, creating a planned-high-altitude justification, performing contour surveys and terrain. The study of the discipline provides knowledge about topographic maps as a way of depicting the Earth's surface, which is distinguished by a high degree of content completeness, reliability and accuracy. Students get acquainted with the methods of creating topographic maps and their application for the needs of science and practice. The acquired knowledge is the basis for working with maps of various types of the cartographic and aerospace methods of studying the earth's surface, the features of various cartographic works, which are considered in further training. This knowledge contributes to the successful use of maps in field and office research in educational and industrial practice.
