Learning outcomes
PR04. Use information technologies, cartographic and geoinformation models in the field of earth sciences Earth sciences. PR07. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, athematics, information technologies etc. when studying natural processes of formation and development of geospheres. PR12. Know and apply theories, paradigms, concepts and principles in earth sciences according to specialization.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines of the educational and professional program "Management and Ecology of Water Resources" at the bachelor's level of education, in particular, such as: "Geology", "River Hydrology", "Meteorology". 2. To know and understand the main geographical laws and laws of the territorial organization of society. 3. To be able to analyze the features and specifics of the manifestation of natural and anthropogenic processes in the geographical envelope, cause-and-effect relationships between processes and phenomena that lead to the formation of natural territorial complexes and systems. 4. To have modern methods of searching and systematization of scientific documents, methods of primary processing of geographical information. 5. To have elementary skills of using cartographic works in solving scientific and practical tasks. 6. To have basic skills of analysis and synthesis of geographical information, methods of comparative geographical analysis.
Course content
The program of the discipline consists of the following content modules: 1. Fundamentals of using topographic maps in solving scientific and practical problems. 2. Topographic and geodetic works necessary for the creation of topographic maps and plans.

Assessment methods and criteria
current (semester) assessment (practical works (minimum grade 10, maximum 20; control works (20 - 30); independent work (5 - 10)); - final (final) assessment in the form of a test (score for knowledge of theory (minimum 12, maximum 20 points); assessment for the practical part (13 - 20). For students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculated minimum - 35 points, for admission to the form of final control must be sure to pass an additionally completed individual complex task.
