Learning outcomes
Use methods of collecting information in the fields of geodesy and land management and geosciences, their systematization and classification in accordance with the design or production task. Have the design of thematic GIS to ensure their functioning as part of information systems for various purposes and territorial coverage. Have methods of organizing topographic, geodetic and land management production from field measurements to management and sale of topographic and land management products based on modern computer technology with the necessary GIS software.

Course content
Research practice in the specialization of masters is focused on the achievement of students' practical skills and abilities in the specialty 193 "Geodesy and Land Management" educational program "Geographic Information Systems and Technologies" for their professional development and research. In the process of internship, students work on their own research topics, conducting research in their own master's thesis. The internship promotes the formation of students' initial competence to conduct independent research activities, acquiring skills in organizing and developing master's qualification work, developing creative abilities, ability to justify and express opinions, work in a team, independently set and solve scientific and applied problems.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Research practice in specialization is carried out in the following forms:  performance of tasks of the scientific adviser according to the approved individual plan of practice of the master's student;  preparation of scientific works, reports and speeches on scientific topics of the department;  creative processing of materials and other data for the qualification work of the master.
Assessment methods and criteria
The results of specialization research practice are evaluated in the form of differentiated tests.
