Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of geophysics, mathematical processing of geophysical information 2. Have the skills to work with a personal computer
Course content
The program of the discipline focuses on applied geophysics and methods of processing and interpretation of geophysical data. Techniques of quantitative interpretation are explained by real examples with the use of modern computer technology. Features of modeling of geological sections according to various geophysical methods are characterized. The consideration includes the complexation of geophysical methods for solving various geological problems, an overview of ways to implement them and efficiency. The discipline is conducted in the form of research practice. Research practice should correspond to the direction of research of the master's student. During such practice it is possible to use new methods and get the necessary results of research conducted by the student when writing a master's thesis.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Research practice of students (written works)
Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: implementation of 3 sections of research work, in which students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher. The result of the completed practice is an information report. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a differentiated test.
