Learning outcomes
-Basic concepts and terms of engineering geophysics, classification of geophysical methods and their studied parameters
-Complex of geophysical methods for search of formation and cracked groundwater, lithological dismemberment of the upper part of the section
-Methods of research of physical and mechanical properties of soils and their application
-Ways to study seismicity and seismic zoning
-Methods of engineering geophysics for the study of underground cavities, landslide-prone areas and flooding processes
-Choice of a rational set of geophysical methods to study the geological basis of buildings and structures
-Study of rocks and tracking the roof of frozen rocks by engineering geophysics
-Measure, process data of geophysical observations and conduct their geological interpretation
-Perform field and laboratory geophysical measurements in the route profile and planar version

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of physics, mathematics, geometry and geophysics.
Course content
The program of the discipline focuses on applied geophysics and methods of measuring work. Approaches to solving direct and inverse problems are considered. Methods of qualitative and quantitative interpretation are explained by individual anomalies. Areas of application of engineering geophysics on real examples are characterized. The review includes general principles of setting geophysical problems, an overview of ways to implement them and efficiency.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: practical work (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher) and conducting 3 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written exam.
