Learning outcomes
- Apply conceptual knowledge of natural and socio-economic sciences in performing tasks of geodesy and land management. - Perform surveys and survey, topographic and geodetic, cartographic, design and design and survey work in the performance of professional tasks in geodesy and land management. - Plan complex professional activities, develop and implement projects in the field of geodesy and land management under resource and other constraints. - Develop and make effective decisions on professional activities in the field of geodesy and land management, including under conditions of uncertainty.

Course content
Within the course, students gain basic knowledge about groundwater and their classification, hydrogeological stratification, types of groundwater, as well as environmental impact (natural and anthropogenic) on groundwater and vice versa. Also, students will be introduced to basic ideas about the geological environment as the basis or location of engineering structures; interaction of geological environment and engineering structures; with the main factors of formation of engineering-geological conditions of territories, the basic principles of ecological geology.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory work, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
The control includes 7 laboratory works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge) and 2 written tests in the 3rd semester and 6 laboratory works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge) and 2 written tests in the 4th semester. Assessment in the 3rd semester involves an intermediate control, which is calculated as the sum (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the semester. There is no separate form of control at the end of the 3rd semester. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written and oral exam in the 4th semester.
