To know: Organization, planning of the production sphere and safety equipment. Geological structure of research region. Systematization and processing of field materials and preparation of report documentation Be able to: Perform all types of geological work in the field, compile and maintain field and report documentation. Develop reporting and stock documentation that will allow to compile the general part of the bachelor’s qualification work and individual parts of its special section

Кnowledge of general geology, paleontology, able to interpret geological information.

The discipline is aimed at familiarizing students with the production processes involved in practice bases (enterprises, institutions, organizations). Approaches to the study of the enterprise (scientific institution, organization), its technical equipment, directions of production and scientific activity in the geological field are included in the consideration. Practice includes a preparatory period, work at an enterprise or a scientific organization or institution, collection of geological data for their further mineralogical, geochemical and petrographic studies with the aim of writing a bachelor’s qualification thesis. During production practice, the student learns to evaluate the quality and reliability of the collected materials, their minimum the necessary amount for further research, to prepare a report on the personal work carried out, and, in the future, to defend it

Independent work of a student at a production enterprise

The control is carried out according to the rating system and includes: a written report on practice (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and the ability to solve problems by methods and tools provided by the tasks for practice), an oral presentation and answers to questions. The final assessment is conducted in the form a differentiated test by the teacher’s commission
