know: principles of classification of geochemical landscapes and factors that determine the peculiarities of migration processes in them general patterns of migration of elements in natural landscapes theoretical foundations of petrochemical calculation methods. geochemical field and its local anomalies. be able: to determine elementary geochemical landscapes and landscape-geochemical systems of higher levels and to describe the peculiarities of the migration of chemical elements in them to establish areas of transit and areas of maximum accumulation of chemical elements determine factors of accumulation in natural biological systems conduct quality control of geochemical data choose analytical methods of research to solve the problems.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses: "Chemistry", "General geology", "Mineralogy with the basics of crystallography", "Fundamentals of petrography", "Fundamentals of lithology", "Analytical geochemistry", "Fundamentals of geochemistry", "Geology of mineral deposits", " of Geomorphology and Quaternary Geology", "Mathematical Statistics" 2. Ability to analyze and think logically.
Course content
The complex discipline "Geochemistry (additional chapters)" includes the following chapters: "Geochemical methods of prospecting", "Methods of processing geochemical data", "Geochemistry of natural landscapes" and "Basics of isotopic geochemistry". In the process of studying the discipline, questions are considered regarding: the place of geochemical searches in the system of geological disciplines; conditions and patterns of formation of various (natural or man-made) geochemical anomalies in the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere; means of obtaining and interpreting representative geochemical data; solving specific search problems. Acquaintance of students with the basic principles of studying patterns of migration, interrelation and combination of chemical elements in various components of landscapes, as well as with methodical approaches of establishing geochemical types and varieties of landscapes.
