Know: The history of geological research and the current level of study of the world's most famous deposits Geological structure and minerals of Phanerozoic structures. Mineral resource base of rare metals. Patterns of location of deposits of non-metallic minerals. 1.2 Modern metallogenic zoning and regional ore-bearing structures of the earth's crust.
Be able to: Determine genetic types of mineral deposits, their location in the world, mineral composition, evaluate their importance, areas of use. Draw up diagrams - the location of deposits in the geological structures of different countries. Use the acquired knowledge to determine the most important directions for further mineral exploration in the world and on the territory of Ukraine.

            Course content

The discipline program contains basic information about the genetic types of mineral deposits in different regions of the world and the use of mineral deposits in different countries: in particular, deposits of ferrous, non-ferrous, noble, rare, rare earth, radioactive metals and non-metallic minerals
