Learning outcomes
To know the regulatory framework governing the quality, study and practical use of potable, technical and mineral groundwater in Ukraine and the EU; methods for assessing the state of ecological and hydrogeological conditions; methods for forecasting changes in ecological and hydrogeological conditions. Be able to assess the state and to establish trends in ecological and hydrogeological conditions of the territory

To have knowledge on hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry, groundwater resourses assessment
Course content
Students will gain knowledge about the impact of natural and man-made hydrogeological conditions on the biosphere (especially human); hydrogeological aspects of changes of geological environment properties under the influence of human activity; principles of forecasting and preventive measures against the impact on groundwater; the strategy of geological study and practical use of groundwater

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes, independent work of students
Assessment methods and criteria
The control involves individual practical work and 2 written tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written and oral exam. The results of students' learning activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. A student is not allowed to take the final grade if he/she scored less than 20 points during the semester. During the semester the student can score from 36 to 60 points. During the exam the student can get from 24 to 40 points
