Course content
The discipline provides professional development of the student and is aimed at forming his competence in understanding the role of active forms of nitrogen and oxygen in biological processes. Particular attention is paid to the laws of metabolism of nitric oxide and reactive oxygen species in the cell, the role of NO and H 2 O 2 as signaling and regulatory molecules. The pathogenesis of diseases common in human populations is considered from the point of view of metabolic disorders forms of nitrogen and oxygen and ways of its correction. The directions of selective influence on the corresponding enzymes and processes for the purpose of creation of modern pharmacological preparations are scientifically substantiated.
