The formation of students' knowledge of the history and modern development of university education in the world and in Ukraine, the role of universities in the system of training specialists, the history of education and science at Taras Shevchenko KNU, the organization of the educational process, independent and scientific work of students, understanding of ethical principles, norms, standards of the university community, the need to observe the rules of academic integrity.

Full-time form

1) Know the content of the main stages of world history and the history of Ukraine, the basic principles of the functioning of the education system in Ukraine. 2) Possess the skills of analytical thinking, the ability to generalize, comparative analysis, public speaking, in English. 3) Be able to analyze phenomena and processes, prepare presentations.

1) University education and tradition. 2) History of education in Ukraine. 3) Different stages of development of Kyiv University from its foundation to the present time. 4) Code of ethics of the university community. 5) Organization of the educational process at FRECS. 6) History of the establishment and department of the faculty. 7) Prospects of the Faculty of Radiophysics, Electronics and Computer Systems.

Lectures - 28 hrs, independent work - 30 hrs, consultations - 2 hr, total - 60 hrs.

Semester assessment: oral reports and supplements (up to 20 points), essays and equivalent types of independent work (up to 30 points), two current test papers (up to 15 points each), final test paper (up to 20 points) - together up to 100 points. There is no additional assessment at the test, the grade for the subject is formed entirely on the basis of the student's semester work.
