The student must acquire knowledge in the field of the theory of construction of peripheral devices, the practice of their application in modern computer systems. Course content
The discipline "Peripheral devices" covers the following issues: • Principles of operation of information input devices • Principles of operation of magnetic hard disks • Principles of operation of flash memory • Principles of printers • Principles of operation of touch screens • Principles of display operation • Working principles of RAM • Principles of operation of video adapters

Lectures, laboratory work, individual independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
-Semester assessment. During the semester, students perform 6 laboratory works, for each work you can get from 0 to 10 points. -Final assessment. An test is held at the end of the semester; All 6 laboratory works with a total score of at least 36 points are required for admission to the exam; the test ticket consists of 4 questions, the answer to each question is evaluated from 0 to 10 points. The result of learning of the subject is considered positive if the total score for laboratory works and test exceeds 60 points, the score for test must be higher than 24 points.
