A student must know the essence of social and political phenomena, which is the subject of socio-political studies, must be able to apply the basic conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline.

Full-time form

Students should know the peculiarities of the functioning and investigation of modern society, politics and power, human interaction with social and political institutions, special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society.

The academic discipline introduces students to the basics of political science; provides knowledge about the nature of modern political processes, the essence and varieties of political systems and regimes, theories of political institutions - the theory of the state, parties, interest groups, political elites, political leadership, elections and electoral systems, the nature and essence of political culture and political consciousness, the main ideological currents in the modern world, processes of international political life.
