Learning outcomes
The student must know the general physical, physico-chemical and biophysical laws that underlie the vital activity of living organisms, basic physical principles and approaches to the study of processes in living nature, explain the basic principles of modern biophysical methods of research and identification of biomolecules, conduct energy analysis of some biological processes , to carry out mathematical and computer processing of medical and biological information.

Secondary education. Basic knowledge at the level of a secondary school program in Physics.
Course content
The Biophysics of Complex Systems discipline consists of two meaningful modules #1 "Thermodynamics of Biological Processes" and #2 "Molecular Biophysics". In the first of them, the basic biophysical regularities underlying the vital activity of living organisms are studied, in the second - the biophysics of processes occurring in biological systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
The academic discipline has two substantive modules, each of which is assessed for 30 points. Final evaluation (in the form of an exam): the form of the exam is written and oral. The examination ticket consists of 2 questions (15 points each) and a problem, which is evaluated up to 10 points. In total, you can get from 0 to 40 points for the exam. A condition for achieving a positive grade for a discipline is obtaining at least 60 points, the grade for the exam cannot be less than 24 points.
