Learning outcomes
- Know and understand modern theoretical and experimental research methods to assess the accuracy of the results - Be able to organize the procedure of measurement, calibration, testing in a group or individually - Know, understand and be able to apply basic principles of general and theoretical physics, including classical , relativistic and quantum mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electromagnetism, wave and quantum optics, atomic and atomic nucleus physics to establish, analyze, interpret, explain and classify the essence and mechanisms of various physical phenomena and processes to solve complex specialized problems and practices problems in physics, optics and laser physics - Be able to present the obtained scientific results, participate in discussions on the content and results of their own research

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course program is aimed at students who are already familiar with optics, the main part of mathematical analysis, analytical geometry and linear algebra.
Course content
The course includes the concept of color and methods of its measurement, basic standards of colorimetry, psychophysiological aspects of color perception, the introduction of metrics and changes in the basis of color space, the concept of factors that cause color at the level of individual molecules and macrostructures.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods: lectures, laboratory, weekly control of previous material by answering a specific number of questions, modular test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: 1. Modular test 1: (0-10 points), Laboratory work: (0-5 points); 2. Modular test work 2: (0-10 points), Laboratory work: (0-5 points). Final in the form of a test (0-70 points).
