Course content
Charge particle accelerated beams are widely applicable in up-to-date science and technology. First of all, this is nuclear and high-energy physics, plasma physics, problems of thermonuclear fusion, solid-state physics, extra high frequency generation, laser pumping as well as practical applications in medicine, radioactive waste management, materials treatment, non-destructive examination of safety important equipment, including pipes and equipment of Nuclear Power Plants, food industry, production of electronic components etc. The course “Accelerators of charge particles in Nuclear Fuel Cycle” is the basis for learning the basics in physics of accelerators, acquirement of main concepts, principles and approaches for understanding of physical basics of accelerators operation, and skills to using accelerated particle beams in basic science and practical applications.
