Learning outcomes
Р1. Knowledge to understand scientific concepts and modern theories of chemistry, as well as the fundamentals of related sciences. P2. Deeply understand the basic facts, concepts, principles and theories related to the subject area mastered during the master's program, use them to solve complex problems and problems, as well as conduct research in the relevant field of chemistry. P4. Synthesize chemical compounds with specified properties, analyze them and assess compliance with specified requirements. P9. Collect, evaluate, and analyze the data wanted to solve complex chemistry problems using appropriate data methods and tools. P10. Plan, organize and conduct experimental research in chemistry using modern equipment, competently process their results and draw sound conclusions. P14. Interpret experimentally obtained data and correlate them with relevant theories in chemistry.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know organic chemistry at the bachelor's degree in "Chemistry". 2. Have the skills of basic laboratory techniques of organic chemistry at the bachelor's degree in "Chemistry". 3. Have the skills of identification of organic substances by physical and chemical methods at the bachelor's degree in "Chemistry".
Course content
The role of synthetic methods in organic chemistry; classical and modern methods of synthesis of organic compounds and mechanisms of reactions underlying them; features of obtaining certain classes of organic substances with the help of special reagents; modern reagents and their use in organic synthesis; the choice in favor of a particular reagent depending on practical tasks.

Evaluation is carried out on a 100-point system. Current control - homework, quality of laboratory work, control (maximum 60 points), exam (maximum 40 points)
