            P01. Know and understand the scientific concepts and modern theories of chemistry, as well as the fundamental foundations of related.
P02. Understand the basics of mathematics at a level sufficient to achieve the other learning outcomes provided for in this standard and the curriculum.
P3. Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to solve new qualitative and quantitative problems of chemistry.
P9. Collect, evaluate, and analyze the data needed to solve complex chemistry problems using appropriate data processing methods and tools.
P10. Plan, organize and carry out experimental research in chemistry using modern equipment, competently process their results and draw reasonable conclusions.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            To study "Additional sections of inorganic chemistry", students need the knowledge obtained within the framework of the bachelor's training program, namely:
Know the basics of general, inorganic, coordination and physical chemistry.
Know the basic provisions outlined in the courses: "Physical methods of research of inorganic compounds", "Spectroscopy of inorganic compounds".
Have the skills to search for the necessary information in scientific literature, the Internet and scientometric databases.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The educational discipline "Additional sections of inorganic chemistry" includes a generalization of the most important monotonic and non-monotonic laws of the Periodic Table of Elements and the main reasons for their discovery. Prediction of reactivity and properties of compounds of elements according to their position in the Periodic Table. Comparative analysis and generalization of various concepts of acids and bases in order to solve the problem of solvent selection in inorganic synthesis. Compounds of elements in uncharacteristic oxidation states, cluster compounds and their stabilization. Introduction to the key problems of modern inorganic chemistry. Areas of use of inorganic compounds as catalysts, sorbents, ion exchange resins, sensors and in the creation of new functional materials.

The maximum/minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student: 80 points / 48 points, namely:
1. Control work #1: PN 1.1, PN 1.2, PN 2.1, RN 4.1 – 30/18 points.
2. Control work #2: PN 1.3, PN 2.2, PN 3.1, RN 4.1 – 30/18 points.
3 Oral report with presentation: RN 1.1, RN 1.2, RN 2.2, RN 3.1, RN 4.1 – 10/6 points.
4. Essay: RN 1.1, RN 1.2, RN 1.3, RN – 10/6 points.
Final assessment – written assessment – 20 points (PL)
